What could be better - a whitewater paddling opportunity within walking distance from downtown? This facility uses the outflow from the Fleet Street pumping station to provide a short section of relatively easy whitewater. Hone your slalom skills on the training gates.

This is used pretty extensively for slalom training, and maintained by the Ottawa River Runners club. Commercial use is restricted, and regular users should certainly join the club. A flash new clubhouse was built in 2017.

To drive there, take exit 121A off highway 417, and head north on Bronson. Turn left onto Albert street, and immediately after, take the first right. Park on the right.
